UNICEF has managed one of the longest-standing Yammer networks, with its initial inception in 2008. But for the first eight years, it lacked organization-wide direction and cohesion — two common hurdles with internal communities that don’t have the benefit of strategic community management.
In 2016, UNICEF realized real-time knowledge exchange and global information-sharing had the potential to impact the day-to-day work of its staff in the field — in jungles, deserts, and cities in turmoil. By instituting simple community management practices, the Yammer network grew by 560% — from 1,000 members to 5,600 active users in 2018.
In this webinar, Paola Storchi, Knowledge Management Specialist at UNICEF, and Carrie Basham Young, CEO and Founder of Talk Social to Me, will tell the story of a Yammer implementation that went from lackluster to life-saving for children, and how other organizations can easily (and inexpensively) replicate this success.
